Wow, you covered it so well. Even some of the things are new for a regular mussoorie visitor like me. Gliding, St. Everest old house etc. are new to me even.

Appreciate your efforts, way of capturing experience and after-all Thanks for sharing 🙂

Perfect timing– I’m considering a trip to India in March so I’ll bookmark this. Great photos! There’s a lot of useful information here.

Wow there sounds so much to do in Missoorie! Top of my list would be the cable cars and staying in the resort, that sounds beautiful but I would definitely want to wander along the Mall road too to see the crafts and try a corn!

  4. You post it very good information for travelers. I will definitely look for those places if I ever go to Mussoorie. Very nice photos too.

What an adventure you guys had, and I love you took the longer route (both for avoiding the traffic and the extra sights!) The cable car and resort look fabulous too!

I was thinking of coming to India in March. I have never heard of this city – but you sold me on visiting. It looks like a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I have visited Mussoorie on my way to the Himalayas and although it was just a short stop on the way, I fell in love with the place and always wanted to return to take a closer look. This article with its gorgeous pictures has made me determined to do so next time I will spend time in meditation and yoga retreat on the Himalayas.

You have written a comprehensive guide to a beautiful destination that I would love to visit. I am glad that there is a waterfall near as waterfalls are among my favorite destinations. I would like to ride the cable car from Jhulaghat to Gun Hill.

6 hours from Delhi? I didn’t know you’re that close to nature. When I was there, it was rather overwhelming. Nice to know about this area to go to for some zen.

  14. Andrea says:

This is super helpful, I’m definitely saving it for future reference! Paragliding is right up my alley, I’ll totally have to try it there!

  15. Mussoorie looks like a fun place to visit. The mountains are so gorgeous. We’d love to enter the adventure zone in that beautiful scenery and do some para gliding.

Mussoorie is one beautiful place that is high on our list. Let’s see when it invites us 🙂 Your list of things to do seem perfect for a relaxing holiday, have made a note of it.

  17. As kids, we used to go to Mussoorie often with our cousins in a big group. I think the little town hasn’t changed much since then, except for the increased shops and population. A lot of people are now going to Landour too, which was unheard of back in those days. Personally, I would choose off-season to enjoy Mussoorie’s real atmosphere.

  18. I confess I have never heard of Mussoorie until now but what a fabulous place it appears to be! I would definitely stay in a jungle resort and take a dip in Kempty Falls, I would also be interested to visit Happy Valley after reading the Dalai Lama’s Autobiography. Pinned for future reference!

Mussoorie definitely is a break from the bustling Delhi. It looks like you guys did so much there, so many exhilarating activities. I’d love to parasail or zipline at the foot of those gorgeous mountains!
