Sheraton Sharjah is a paradisaical oasis built to resemble an Arabian sandcastle – and true to its reputation, this massive structure looms over the sand dunes of the sultry Sharjah desert. Whilst serving as a premium space for tourists to set stop in, Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is also a popular hub for local Emiratis who want to lounge around and enjoy the unconditional luxuries it has to offer.
First Glimpses – Arabic sandcastle that’s big, breezy, & beachy
Staff – Constantly smiling & utterly charming
Food & Beverages – Fresh, varied & incredibly delectable especially Indian food at Arjwan
The Crowd – Families and laid-back couples
Bed & Bath – Glorious luxe and comforting
Sheraton Sharjah Resort boasts of 349 rooms draped with the finest silk curtains and furnished with carefully thought and executed upholstery. Our room featured crisp linen, clean design and arresting pool views. Everything about the deluxe rooms speaks of a class of polished chic and understated elegance. Arabian luxury – sophisticated lampshades, marble bathrooms, fantastically done headboard made of arabesque wooden ornaments – all choreographed with precision. In all, interiors are quite subdued and deeply comfortable.
The Sheraton Sleep Experience ensures a restful sleep to all those who come this way; for the night OWLS, there are interactive LED TVs to keep you entertained! The mix of smart design with plush furniture makes Sheraton Sharjah an entire experience.
The beach and pool had to be a highlight – a private beach and 2 pools invite those who wish to lounge around. A fitness center nearby will ensure you sweat out the scrumptious delicacies you’ve gorged on at lunch! There’s also a pool and kids club to keep the young ones engaged while you take some time out for yourself at the Sheraton’s Shine Spa – an expansive space with a Jacuzzi, steam bath, and sauna, spread over two floors.
We woke up early one morning to catch the beauty of this place during the sunrise. And that has to be the favorite time of my stay here. I laid down on the sand, ran along the beach, and captured the resort in its full glory during the golden hours. You have to experience it to believe it. It looks so damn beautiful.
When it comes to dining, nothing compares to Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa. The variety offered at various restaurants at Sheraton is simply unparalleled. It would be a delight for food connoisseurs to sample unique offerings at different restaurants and relish genuine Arabic hospitality.
Gusti offers a luxurious array of breakfast spreads, lunches, and dinners with a hint of Mediterranean sides to their inclusive meals. Overlooking the Arabian Gulf, eating here is a refreshing experience. I simply love restaurants where I can find a great spread of breakfast buffet and Gusti did not disappoint. For me, the standout point was the friendly staff that made sure we were served hot and delicious food every time we ate here – every time with a pinch of love. Rajiv and Laxmi always had a big, cheerful smile while offering their services. A meal here is highly recommended.
Arjwan, on the other hand, makes for a delectable Arabic or Indian meal. With Arabesque interiors and groovy music, this one’s the most welcoming for a romantic dinner! I was in awe of the glorious space that was majorly dominated by aqua-blue upholstery and deep, dark woods.
A great first impression, surely! Pretty much everyone who comes to Arjwan is well-dressed and well heeled. We were served complimentary starters before they brought us the scrumptious food we had ordered. I think personally such sweet little touches work best for me. So, simply take a table and enjoy gourmet dishes in generous portions in the most relaxed ambiance.
Al Qubtan is a classic favorite serving premium coffee and pizza made from the most authentic ingredients. It is most recommended for those with a more informal dining experience in mind. This restaurant’s laidback outdoor seating offers magnificent views of the beach area. Try the freshly cooked pizza and you wouldn’t be disappointed.
Lounging about in Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa has an array of benefits – one of the most breathtaking views of the beach sits at your doorstep while you eat, read, nap, or chat with your partner! With super fast WiFi and an airport pickup facility, there’s no reason you wouldn’t want a taste of Sheraton at Sharjah! This magnificent resort is also open for weddings, conferences, and business gatherings, although bookings tend to run months ahead so it might be a good idea to keep enough time in hand. It also offers free shuttle services to the nearby shopping malls and that is really thoughtful.
Well, Sheraton Sharjah is certainly an unusual offering – it’s all about rustic luxury and a laid-back atmosphere that is so unlike what you’ll see anywhere else in Sharjah. There’s a charm gleaming through the extravagant setting especially the views it offers from the top floor executive lounge. Take a look at these pictures of the lounge:
Undoubtedly, Sheraton Sharjah offers all the bells and whistles you’d expect out of a luxury resort in Sharjah. With a fantastic location, supremely gorgeous morning views and really worthy restaurants, it’s all good news. I’d recommend a stay at the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa in a heartbeat.
